Leading up to Indeed, my career had been in financial services focused on developing and implementing business strategies for Sales and Relationship Management teams. As I considered the next step in my career, I knew I wanted to work for an industry disruptor – a company that was constantly innovating, and one that also held a mission that personally resonated with me. I came across Sales Strategy at Indeed when I was searching for a role, and it checked all of my boxes!

We have the opportunity to test out new ideas and hypotheses before implementing them.

We focus on Innovation and Efficiency

The Sales Strategy team focuses on driving innovation and efficiencies in products, tools, organizational structure, and processes that help both Sales and Client Success teams succeed.  Like most technology companies, Strategy teams work closely with a number of stakeholders to increase revenue, drive operational excellence and improve efficiency for ongoing growth and development.  What’s interesting about Indeed is the way that it achieves this through “test and learns” or “pilot programs.”  Ahead of a new rollout, Sales Strategy conducts a pilot to fully assess and understand the impact or challenges of the change/implementation that Sales or Client Success (and ultimately our clients) might face and identify opportunities for improvement. If things do not go according to plan, there is always an opportunity to pivot prior to a formal rollout. To me, this is a refreshing approach because we have the opportunity to test out new ideas and hypotheses before implementing them with the broader organization.

Our Team is Global

While my day-to-day role is focused on the Enterprise client segment in the US, I often have the opportunity to partner closely with Sales Strategy team members supporting other segments and work with colleagues globally from Canada to Ireland to Japan. We also work with several cross-functional stakeholders in addition to Sales and Client Success including Finance, Learning & Development, Product, and Marketing.  These relationships have been successful and continue to grow due to clear communication, encouraging honest feedback, and accountability.

I have found my Sales Strategy colleagues and fellow Indeedians to be a talented group of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Team Work Makes the Dream Work

One of my favorite things about Indeed is the people. While it may sound cliche, they are the individuals that I spend most of my time with during the week. I have found my Sales Strategy colleagues and fellow Indeedians to be a talented group of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are constantly looking to support me and help me grow.  Being new to the HR tech industry, I found myself asking a lot of questions about how things work, navigating partner teams, and my overall development. No question was too big or too small and there has always been a willingness to help me navigate through it.

Why Indeed?

I have found Indeed to have a positive culture focused on transparency with leaders who treat me with respect and teammates who continue to support me. With a mission that puts people first, ongoing training to support your growth, and regular Q&A sessions to ask senior leaders anything and everything, Indeed is an organization where you can see your career grow for years to come.
