When Evy first moved to Austin, she had an amazing view of the city outside her window, with the Indeed Downtown office right in the middle of it. Between her personal values aligning with the company’s mission to help people get jobs and a role synergizing with her passions, Evy’s career journey to a Digital Engagement Strategist inside Indeed was meant to be.

I swear I looked at the Indeed building every day when I woke up in the morning in my kitchen and right before I went to bed when it was illuminated at night. Every day, when I’d glance at the building and see the Indeed logo, it genuinely felt like it was daring me to apply over and over again.

I’ve always focused my career on working for companies that have a drive to help others and have been lucky enough to work for companies that have allowed me to feel like I was making an impact. Although I was actively searching for jobs ON Indeed for a while, it took me some time to finally muster up the courage to apply for a job WITH Indeed. My career background was in digital marketing, helping small businesses grow online, and one of the things I’m most passionate about is email and automation. It truly felt kismet when I came across a role with Indeed’s Scaled Business Success (SBS) department, supporting and optimizing employer experiences through various digital channels.

As a Digital Engagement Strategist, my team supports and optimizes employer experiences through chat, phone, email, and automated cadences. I’ve been fortunate enough to partner with other amazing teams and watch our ideas come to fruition, create more efficiency in our sales and customer support specialists’ lives, and most importantly, see the direct impact our work has in helping employers with Indeed which ultimately helps our job seekers find their dream jobs.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my role is seeing individuals benefit from the programs I lead or contribute to. Being a part of a data-driven company, I love launching a program or product and distributing a survey to our specialists to uncover what they found valuable and what they’d like to see in upcoming iterations. When our specialists succeed, our employers and job seekers do too.

Indeed’s mission continues to inspire me, as do the people I work with. I love collaborating with teams from technical development, email UX, marketing, legal, sales efficiency, Client Strategy & Insights (CSI), and many more. I get extremely excited knowing I’ll continually have the opportunity to work with new teams on new initiatives that make better work possible for job seekers.
